Big Animals
It has been another busy two weeks!
Last week our topic was firefighters and we had a very exciting visit from the local crew. The children were particularly impressed by the hose!
This week’s theme has been Big Animals. We have read ‘You can’t take an elephant on the bus’ and written sentences about various big animals. The children have also enjoyed making masks too.
In Maths we have started exploring ten and some more - this is to aid our understanding of numbers beyond ten; ‘some more’ than ten. We will continue with this next week.
In RE the children began to think about the good news that Jesus had risen from the dead and what this means.
Please continue to read with your children regularly at home and sign and date their reading records. Just to remind you that book bags need to be in school every day please.
A gentle reminder to please label everything clearly and children should bring a named water bottle each day.
Please encourage the children to put their homework book in the box (by Wednesday) once they have done their homework. Please complete the homework in the books as much as possible.
One final note, please check the forest school list each week and ensure your child is ready for their session on the day, thank you.
Thank you for your continued support with your children’s learning.
We wish you a happy and restful weekend!
