Funky Fish

Welcome back to our class blog!

We hope you had a wonderful half term break.

This half term we have started a new topic 'Under The Sea'. This week's theme has been Funky Fish.

In Literacy we have read 'Hooray for Fish' and the children used their phonics to describe some of the fish from the story.

We have continued with our phonics teaching. The children are working hard and grasping the sounds. Please practise with your children at home.

In Maths we have started to explore pattern - the children have enjoyed identifying the patterns and recreating them.

In RE we have been exploring our baptisms and have acted out a baptism, discussing why they are important.

This week the children will now be bringing home a reading book as well as their book for pleasure. Please encourage your children to read or share their book with you as often as possible and sign and date the reading record. There are lots of questions and pointers in the front and back covers of the books to help you.

Thank you.

Please make sure all belongings are clearly named.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Miss Day
