Happy Easter!
Welcome back to our class blog.
It has been another busy two weeks! During both weeks we have finished our learning on our topic ‘Help is at Hand’. The Dentist came to visit and read a wonderful story about a dinosaur that needed to brush his teeth. We visited the library and had a wonderful morning.
This week has been very exciting: we made Easter cards, had an Easter egg hunt and made a mini prayer garden to end our RE topic ‘Growing’.
In Phonics we have finished learning our sounds and have been working really hard on writing words with digraphs and trigraphs as well as using our ‘chunk it up’ skills to read longer words. Please continue to support them with this at home as well as handwriting and letter formation.
In Maths we have been learning about ‘Regrouping the whole and finding the missing part’. The children have learned different techniques and strategies to identify either the whole or a missing part.
Please continue to read with your children regularly at home and sign and date their reading records. Just to remind you that book bags need to be in school every day please.
A gentle reminder to please label everything clearly and children should bring a named water bottle each day.
Please encourage the children to put their homework book in the box (by Wednesday) once they have done their homework. Please complete the homework in the books as much as possible.
One final note, please check the forest school list each week and ensure your child is ready for their session on the day, thank you.
Have a wonderful break and we wish you a very Happy Easter.
Thank you for your continued support with your children’s learning.
We wish you a happy and restful weekend!
