If we live by truth and in love, we shall grow in Christ

Happy to be me

Welcome back to our class blog!

Another two weeks have flown by!

We have continued with our topic ‘Happy To Be Me’. Last week our theme was ‘Mouths, noses, fingers and toes’. The children explored what each of the body parts helps us to do. They all took part in a very smelly activity! They all sniffed some smelly items and used their phonics to describe them. This week’s theme has been ‘Similarities and differences'. The children all drew a picture of themselves and shared some of the things that they do or do not like. Some children used their phonics to write too.

We have continued with our phonics teaching. The children are working hard and grasping the sounds. Please practise with your children at home.

In Maths this week we have started concentrating on ‘Counting stable order’ (counting in the correct order, and one number at a time). The children are keen to show off their counting.

Children will be coming home with a book. This is a book for pleasure - it is for you to read to them, for you to enjoy together. They are not expected to be able to read it.

Please make sure all belongings are clearly named.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
