We are all looking forward to a well earned rest next week.  The children have worked well since joining Year 4 and they are getting used to the new routines and expectations.

Next week, I am looking forward to meeting you to discuss how your child has settled and the initial progress that they are making.  I am sure that you will enjoy looking at their exercise books to see what we have been doing in class.

This week, in PE we did a class dance using the Sea Shanty music and the children all performed well and enjoyed learning a new routine.  Next week, the children will meet a real animator and they will be able to ask questions about his job.  They will also make a simple 2-frame animation device.

Please take time over half term to read with your child and listen to them read to you.  I want to encourage the children to use more expression and intonation when they read aloud.
